Introduction
 Working Principle
The valve consists of a valve body, a valve ball, a valve stem, and other components. The valve ball is the core component for controlling the flow of the medium. It has a spherical hole in the middle. When the valve is in the open state, the spherical hole of the valve ball is aligned with the flow channel of the valve body, allowing the medium to flow through the valve with minimal resistance.
When it is necessary to close the valve, the valve stem rotates the valve ball by 90°. As a result, the spherical hole of the valve ball is perpendicular to the flow channel of the valve body, blocking the flow of the medium. The sealing performance between the valve ball and the valve seat is ensured by the elastic deformation of the valve seat material (such as PTFE). When the medium pressure increases, the valve seat will be pressed more tightly against the valve ball, thereby enhancing the sealing effect.
In summary, the API cast iron ball valve controls the on - off and flow of the medium by rotating the valve ball through the valve stem to achieve the purpose of pipeline fluid control.
API cast iron ball valves are ball valves designed and manufactured in accordance with American Industrial Standards (API), which are widely used in the industrial field.
