Introduction

A Single Ball Flange Air Release Valve is a specialized device designed to automatically vent accumulated air from liquid pipelines while preventing water leakage. It features a flange connection (e.g., ANSI, DIN, JIS) for secure installation on larger-diameter pipes and a single floating ball mechanism that opens to release air and closes to seal the valve when submerged in liquid. This valve is critical for maintaining pipeline efficiency, preventing cavitation, and protecting against water hammer in municipal water supply, industrial processes, and HVAC systems.

Working Principle
1.Air Venting Phase: 

When air accumulates at the pipeline's highest point, the floating ball descends, opening the orifice to expel air rapidly. This prevents air pockets from reducing flow efficiency.  

2. Sealing Phase:

Once air is exhausted and liquid fills the valve chamber, the ball floats upward, pressing against the seat to block water outflow.  

3. Negative Pressure Protection: 

In vacuum conditions (e.g., pump shutdown), the valve automatically admits air to prevent pipeline collapse

Sealing Element: Uses EPDM or NBR rubber for tight closure, rated for temperatures up to 80°C (176°F) in water systems and 180°C (356°F) in high-temperature applications   .
