Introduction
 Working Principle
The valve consists of a valve body, a valve ball, a valve stem, and other components. The valve ball is the core component for controlling the flow of the medium. It has a spherical hole in the middle. When the valve is in the open state, the spherical hole of the valve ball is aligned with the flow channel of the valve body, allowing the medium to flow through the valve with minimal resistance.
When it is necessary to close the valve, the valve stem rotates the valve ball by 90°. As a result, the spherical hole of the valve ball is perpendicular to the flow channel of the valve body, blocking the flow of the medium. The sealing performance between the valve ball and the valve seat is ensured by the elastic deformation of the valve seat material (such as PTFE). When the medium pressure increases, the valve seat will be pressed more tightly against the valve ball, thereby enhancing the sealing effect.
In summary, the DIN cast iron ball valve controls the on - off and flow of the medium by rotating the valve ball through the valve stem to achieve the purpose of pipeline fluid control.
DIN cast iron ball valves are ball valves designed and manufactured in accordance with German Industrial Standards (DIN), which are widely used in the industrial field.

It usually adopts a two - piece structure, which is convenient for installation and maintenance. The valve stem is designed with a load - bearing anti - ejection structure, which can effectively prevent the valve stem from being ejected under high pressure and improve the safety of use. There are two design options available: full - bore and reduced - bore. The full - bore ball valve has low fluid resistance, while the reduced - bore ball valve is more suitable for occasions where space and cost are of concern.
DIN Cast Iron Ball Valve Standards
• Design and Manufacturing Standards: DIN 3357, which specifies the structure, dimensions, materials, pressure ratings, and test methods of cast iron ball valves.
• Structural Length Standards: The F4 series is used for DN15 - DN100, and the F5 series is used for DN125 - DN250.
The specific dimensions follow the DIN 3202 or EN 558 - 1 standards.
• Flange Connection Standards: The flange end dimensions comply with the EN 1092 - 2, ISO 7005 - 2, or DIN 2533 standards.
• Pressure Ratings: Usually 1.6MPa (PN16). • Pressure Test Standards: Pressure tests are carried out in accordance with the EN 12266, ISO 5208, or DIN 3230 standards to ensure the sealing performance and strength of the valve.
• Installation Dimensions Standards: The installation pad dimensions follow the ISO 5211 standard, which is convenient for the matching installation with actuators and other components.
