Definition and Basic Principle
A forged steel gate valve is a type of valve in which the wedge - shaped disc moves vertically along the centerline of the fluid flow path. Its main function is to cut off or connect the fluid in the pipeline. The opening and closing element is the wedge - shaped disc, and its movement direction is perpendicular to that of the fluid. It can only be fully opened or fully closed and is not suitable for flow regulation or throttling.

Working Pressure and Temperature Range 

Forged steel gate valves are applicable to small - diameter pipelines with a working pressure ranging from Class 150 to 2500. Carbon steel forged gate valves can operate within a temperature range of - 29℃ to 425℃, while stainless steel forged gate valves can work in a temperature range of - 29℃ to 500℃.
