Structure and Principle
Basic Structure
American Standard stainless - steel flanged ball valves are mainly composed of components such as the valve body, ball, valve seat, valve stem, and driving device. The valve body is made of stainless steel, which has good corrosion resistance and strength. The ball is a key component of the ball valve, usually a solid sphere, and its surface is precisely machined to ensure the sealing performance with the valve seat. The valve seat generally uses materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene (R - PTFE), which have good wear resistance and sealing performance.
Working Principle
The driving device drives the valve stem to rotate, and the valve stem then drives the ball to rotate around the center line of the valve body. When the ball rotates 90°, the valve is fully opened or fully closed, thus controlling the flow direction and flow rate of the medium.
Characteristics
Low Fluid Resistance
The channel of the ball is the same as the inner diameter of the pipeline, and the inner wall is smooth. There is almost no resistance when the fluid passes through, which can effectively reduce energy loss and improve the conveying efficiency.
Good Sealing Performance
Advanced sealing structures and materials, such as plastic valve seats, are adopted to achieve good sealing effects. Even under harsh conditions such as high pressure and high temperature, it can effectively prevent the medium from leaking.
Easy to Operate
It only needs to rotate 90° from fully open to fully closed. The operation is simple and quick, facilitating remote control and automated operation, which can greatly improve work efficiency.
Simple Maintenance
The structure is relatively simple with fewer internal parts. Wear - prone parts such as sealing rings are generally designed to be detachable, making disassembly and replacement relatively convenient, reducing maintenance costs and time.
